Music and Drama Academy

Music, Dance and Drama

This combined class is designed to nurture an enjoyment of the creative arts.  It is about having fun and building confidence.  Confidence to sing, to move and most importantly to speak.  Children learn to speak clearly and confidently and to enjoy speaking.  The arts classes encourage social interaction, imagination and physical activity.

Sessions follow this structure:

• Dance Warm up
• Drama games
• Imagination game
• Singing warm up
• Work on song
• Work on drama piece
• Work dance

Children are encouraged to attend regularly as it becomes difficult for them to catch up on missed sessions.  Children attend on their own.  Parents are invited to attend a demonstration of work in the last week of each term.
